UH to host panel discussion to support reporter kidnapped in Syria

In 2012, American journalist Austin Tice was kidnapped while reporting in Syria. Tice was 31 and a former University of Houston Honors College student.

To raise awareness, UH will host a discussion from 4-6 p.m. Monday, April 27, at The Honors College at the University of Houston. It will be followed by a photo opportunity to show our solidarity with Tice and all reporters who risk their lives to cover the news.

Join us for a moderated discussion with Debra Tice, Austin’s mother; Delphine Halgand, director of Reporters Without Borders; Founding Dean Ted Estess and others.
