The Asian American Journalists Association in Houston is teaming up with Rice University Multicultural Community Relations in Public Affairs to host its annual chapter mixer and leadership forum, sponsored by Buick. It’s an opportunity for AAJA chapter members from across the region to re-connect with each other, as well as meet/mingle with GM representatives and the Asian-American community in Houston.
The event is from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at Rice University, Sewell Hall 309, located at 6100 Main St. in Houston.
Featured speakers include Texas State Representative Gene Wu of District 137 in Houston and Tom Huang, senior editor at The Dallas Morning News. They will be discussing leadership through turbulent times and the impact of innovation on their work and industry.
There will be food and lots of opportunities for networking!
The lecture will be held in Sewall 309, and the reception in the lobby of the Rice Gallery, which is on the ground floor of Sewall. Please register by Thursday, November 13.
