Our friends at SPJ’s Fort Worth Pro chapter has sent along entry info for their annual journalism contest, which is open to all journalists in Texas and Oklahoma:
Fort Worth SPJ’s signature competition for journalists in Texas and Oklahoma — recognizing work that defends the freedoms guaranteed by the First Amendment to the Constitution, furthers the people’s right to know how governments and businesses affect their lives, and champions the powerless and disadvantaged — is back for an eighth year, with a new category for small papers, the return of the big broadcast bracket and still with two print divisions to level the playing field.
Entry fees remain low. Postmark deadline is Feb. 14.
The awards banquet will be Friday, April 15, at Cacharel in Arlington.
The call for entries and the entry form are appropriate for printing and pinning to every bulletin board in the building. Please, help us spread the word.
