Film based on Houston journalist McVicker’s book now in theaters across the nation

The film I Love You Phillip Morris, the movie adaptation of the book by former Houston Chronicle and Houston Press reporter Steve McVicker, hit movie screens across the country last week. Jim Carrey and Ewan MacGregor star in the film based on a true story of love and repeated jailbreaks. CultureMap’s Carolina Astrain has details about the movie’s launch in Houston. Meanwhile, you can also read McVicker’s first-person account in the Press from last year of going to see the film screen at the Sundance Film Festival (and nearly having a heart attack in the process).
