He already had an airport named for him, but now William P. Hobby Sr., the late publisher of the Houston Post and governor of Texas, will also be in the Texas Newspaper Foundation Hall of Fame. He died in 1964. Going in the hall of fame with him next year are legendary Dallas sportswriter Blackie Sherrod and newspaper owners Bob Hamilton and W.E. Berger.
